Conference Theme: Re-creating Landscape and Culture in a Time of Global Change
The IASNR Conference in Cairns is just around the corner. The theme for this year is ‘Re-creating landscape and culture in a time of global change’. The conference program is available here. Our local conference organizers are Stewart Lockie, Director, The Cairns Institute, James Cook University, and Tom Measham, Research Director, CRC for Transformations in Mining Economies.
We look forward to welcoming delegates from across the globe, including many delegates who will be joining hybrid sessions this year.
This will be IASNR’s first foray into the world of hybrid conference events, and based on the experience we will decide how to engage in future years.

The IASNR Conference 2027 and Beyond
The IASNR Conference Support Committee seeks host institutions for 2027 and beyond.
Interested parties should submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) to [email protected]. A full proposal will be required if selected for by the Conference Support Committee.
