My research interests revolve around agroecology and sustainable foods systems, adaptation to climate change, and water management.

I am interested in regenerative agriculture, food security, and adaptation to climate change at multiple scales (e.g. homestead and farm, community, landscape, bioregion, and global). I embed my research in relationships at the community-scale, and move downscale or upscale from there.

Experience

Since 1996, I have taught resource and environmental management courses in the Department of Environment, Agriculture and Geography.

In 2019, my colleagues and I created the Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems (SAFS) program at Bishop's University (www.ubishops.ca/safs) and we are currently building an Educational Farm (www, ubishops.ca/farm).

My family and I enjoy living on a small farm where we tend large gardens, save heirloom seeds, and raise a variety of animals.
