Position: Ph.D. Candidate
I am a Ph.D. candidate working on participatory scenarios development and exploration for Canadian social-ecological landscapes, studying the social learning effects and other sustainability outcomes of these collaborative processes. I hold a Master's degree in sustainability science, studying ecosystem service dynamics of an agroforestry watershed in the Philippines from an intergenerational perspective. For my undergraduate degree in agricultural sciences, I explored the social-ecological resilience of a silvopastoral community in a traditional cattle-raising landscape also in the Philippines.
I have also been involved in local and international research projects on piloting integrated models of school-plus-home gardens in the Philippines; developing new ASEAN policy guidelines for climate-smart-agriculture; scanning for restoration and conservation solutions for bioproduction landscapes in Asia; and developing frameworks for mobilizing stakeholders for conservation of critical natural landscapes among many others.
