It was so great seeing over 440 of you in Portland, Maine, USA for the 2023 IASNR Conference! We had participants from all over the world, including 12 different countries. Special thanks to Conference Organizers Matt Carroll, Jessica Leahy, and Gene Theodori, along with our volunteers and session moderators. We also want to thank our conference sponsors for their generous support—Taylor & Francis; Sam Houston State University; Simon Fraser University, Faculty of Environment; Virginia Tech, Center for Leadership in Global Sustainability; The University of Maine, School of Forest Resources; West Virginia University, Division of Forestry and Natural Resources; Utah State University, College of Humanities & Social Sciences and the Community & Natural Resource Institute; the USDA; Texas A&M University, Department of Rangeland, Wildlife & Fisheries Management; Dalhousie University, School for Resource and Environmental Studies; the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Department of Recreation, Sport, and Tourism; and the Western Rural Development Center.
IASNR put together a wonderful silent auction – thank you to those that donated items and thank you to those who bid! We raised nearly $800 USD towards student scholarships that support future conference attendance. The conference Whova app will remain active for three months. Contact [email protected] if you have questions regarding Whova.
